2013 Newsletter
Well folks, it’s been a bit of a bitty year. I guess can’t get away from the 13!!! Say no more.
But no worries, we have more than enough to be thankful for.
I just wanted first off to thank all of those whom I had the pleasure of guiding over the course of this past year.
The year started in Cameroon, welcoming Brothers Byron and Quint from Texas to hunt the famed Lord Derby or Giant Eland.
Both lads did a great job to bring the legendary ing of The Savannah down.
May now and the arrival of the Scots, English and American, Niall from Scotland, Alan and Mike from the UK, and Miles from the USA. So you can imagine all the fun and games between the lads hunting with bow and rifle. If memory serves me correct in the 10 days the boys put down plus 40 animals . The skinners were busy!!!
Great trip lads and I look forward to visiting you in the UK.
This was followed by 3 Generations of hunters in the form of Dick (Father), Richard (son) and Ev (Grandson), all from Tennessee hunting Buffalo and plains game.
A great time had by all and wonderful to see old and young in the bush together.
Next the Russian trio led by Evgerny, hunting the Chirisa area for Buffalo.
After follow up of a wounded one for a couple of hours a combined effort put him down. Well done and good effort.
August brought Joe from Georgia hunting plains game for a few days, followed by Kollin from Missouri hunting Buffalo and Sable out of Fimbiri camp.
After a slow start Kollin came to the party putting all his prime animals down and a beautiful Eland at 5.30 pm on the last day of the hunt.
Now September with the weather warming up saw Karl from Washington arrive. After a nightmare start and not getting permits we were promised, and a change of area, it all turned out good - Karl taking a dream old Dagga Boy Buff and monster Eland, not be mention an ancient old Warthog. Go man Karl, many thanks for staying the course and keeping faith.
Last but not least was Hal out of Colorado, and again after a somewhat slow start, ended up in Matetsi taking a representative Elephant Bull out of a huge herd of +60 animals. Then added a nice old Buffalo, 2 Kudu - one over 55”- and the brute of all hyaenas.
Remember:
Pray like it’s up to God.
Work like it’s up to you.
And in just a little while.
Everything will be alright
A good Christmas to all.
Go well and HAPPY DAYS.
